When will I receive my Gin School Gift Voucher?
Please allow 3 - 5 working days for the arrival of your Gift Voucher by First Class Royal Mail.

How do I redeem my Gin School Gift Voucher?
Visit Salcombe Gin School
Click book now and select your preferred lesson date and time (subject to availability).
Fill out your details.
At checkout, select Gift Voucher as your method of payment and enter your Gift Voucher code.
You will receive a confirmation of your booking by email.

How long is a Gin School Gift Voucher valid for?
Your Gift Voucher is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase and can be redeemed on any available Gin School lesson within that time period.

I have a Gift Voucher for ‘A Gin School lesson for one’ that I would like to redeem. Can I book ‘A Gin School lesson for two to share’ instead?
Yes you can. Select ‘A Gin School Lesson for two to share’. Upon checkout, enter your Gift Voucher code. You will then have the option to pay the additional £50 by debit/credit card or paypal.

What shall I do if I don’t receive a booking confirmation by email?

How many places are there at a Gin School lesson?
There are ten mini copper pot stills at our Gin School and we can accommodate a maximum of two people per still.

I’ve booked ‘A Gin School lesson for one’ but would now like to bring someone with me. Can I change my booking?
If you would like to change your booking to ‘A Gin School lesson for two to share’, please email ginschool@salcombedistilling.com or call  01548 288 180.

I’ve purchased ‘A Gin School lesson for two to share’. Do we both create a bottle of gin? 
‘A Gin School lesson for two’ entitles two persons to two places at Gin School where they will share one mini copper pot still to distil one bottle of gin to share.

When can I attend the Gin School for my lesson?
You can attend any available Gin School Lesson.
We currently host Gin School lessons on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday afternoons at 2pm and on Saturday mornings at 10am until Sunday 30th December. We will also hold afternoon sessions on Sundays until the end of October at 2pm.
We will be closed on Christmas day and Boxing day. Following this, we will host lessons on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday afternoons at 2pm and Saturday mornings at 10am. 

How long is a Gin School Lesson? 
A Gin School lesson is 3 hours long and we recommend you allow additional time afterwards to enjoy a ‘Salcombe & Tonic’ or your ‘newly created gin’ at the end of the lesson in our Distillery Bar.

Will I get to taste my Gin?
Yes you will be able to taste your gin. Our distiller will advise you when and how to best taste your gin during the distillation process. You can also taste your gin at the end of the lesson in our Distillery Bar.

How much gin will I make?
You will make a 70cl bottle of gin to take home with you.
You will also have enough gin for a double measure (50ml), which you are welcome take home with you. However, we do encourage our guests to try their newly created gin at our Distillery Bar with a recommended garnish based on the botanicals they have chosen to distil with.

Are drinks included in the lesson? 
We offer two ‘Salcombe & Tonics’ per person during the Gin School lesson – one on arrival and a second during the distillation process. (Soft drinks / coffee are also available if preferred). Any additional drinks can be purchased from the bar.

Can I take photos during my Gin School lesson?
Yes, you can take photographs during your lesson.

Where do I go for my Gin School Lesson? 
Your Gin School lesson will start in our Distillery Bar at The Boathouse (28 Island Street, Salcombe, TQ8 8DP) before heading next door to the Gin School (30 Island Street) above The Salcombe Gin Victuallers.

Do you have disabled access at the Gin School?
Those requiring disabled access should contact us prior to making a booking as unfortunately there is no lift facility at our Gin School.

Where can I park? 
The nearest car parks are just a few minutes walk away from our Gin School. There is a long stay car park on Gould Road and a short stay car park (max 3 hrs) on Shadycombe Road . During peak seasonal periods, there is also a park and ride facility from Main Road (A381). Please note that there is no car parking facility at the Distillery, Bar or Gin School.

Where is the nearest train station? 
The nearest train station is in Totnes, which is approximately 20 miles / 35mins away.

Where shall I head to eat before/after my Gin School lesson?
There are a number of great pubs, restaurants and cafes all within easy walking distance of the distillery.

Where can I find out more about what there is to see and do nearby?
There is lots to do in Salcombe and the surrounding area. We would recommend having a look at the Salcombe Tourist Information Centre website, where you can also download a copy of the Salcombe guide.

Where can I stay nearby?
Salcombe offers lots of accommodation options including B&Bs, pubs with rooms, hotels and apartments/cottages/houses to rent. For more information visit Salcombe accommodation

Can I reschedule my booking for a Gin School lesson?
If you need to reschedule your Gin School lesson, we require a minimum of 14 days notice prior to your booked date. We will do our best to accommodate your request but cannot guarantee availability on your chosen date. Please email us at ginschool@salcombedistilling.com or call 01548 288 180 to make changes to your booking.

Can I cancel my booking?
We require a minimum of 14 days notice for all cancellations and all bookings made by gift voucher are non-refundable. If you would like to cancel your booking then please do so by emailing ginschool@salcombedistilling.com or calling 01548 288 180. 

Is my gift voucher refundable?
All Gin School gift vouchers and bookings made by gift voucher are non-refundable. However, subject to our 14 day cancellation policy we will do our best to accommodate changes to your dates if you have already redeemed your voucher against a future booking.

Does my Gin School gift voucher expire?
Yes. All Gin School vouchers must be redeemed within 12 months of the purchase date. Please note, all vouchers which are not redeemed within this period will expire and are non-refundable.
