+ How do I book a Gin School lesson?
Visit Salcombe Gin School Click book now and select your preferred lesson date and time (subject to availability).Fill out your details and pay by debit/credit card on checkout.You will receive a confirmation of your booking by email.
+ How do I redeem my Gin School gift voucher?
Visit Salcombe Gin School Click book now and select your preferred lesson date and time (subject to availability).Fill out your details.At checkout, select gift voucher as your method of payment and enter your gift voucher code.You will receive a confirmation of your booking by email.
+ When will I receive my Gin School gift voucher?
Please allow 3-5 working days for your gift voucher to arrive by First Class Royal Mail.
+ How long is a Gin School gift voucher valid for?
Your gift voucher is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase and can be redeemed on any available Gin School lesson within that time period.
+ Does my gift voucher expire?
Yes. All gift vouchers which are not redeemed within 12 months of their purchase date will expire and are non-refundable. Gift vouchers cannot be used as value towards any retail purchases.
+ Can I extend my gift voucher?
Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from their purchase date and cannot be extended.
+ I have a gift voucher for ‘A Gin School lesson for one’ that I would like to redeem. Can I book ‘A Gin School lesson for two to share’ instead?
Yes you can. Select ‘A Gin School Lesson for two to share’. Upon checkout, enter your gift voucher code. You will then have the option to pay the additional £50 by debit/credit card.
+ I’ve booked ‘A Gin School lesson for one’ but would now like to bring someone with me. Can I change my booking?

+ I’ve purchased ‘A Gin School lesson for two to share’. Do we both create a bottle of gin?
‘A Gin School lesson for two’ entitles two persons to two places at Gin School where they will share one mini copper pot still to distil one 70cl bottle of gin to share.
+ When can I attend the Gin School for my lesson?
You can attend any available Gin School Lesson. We will typically host lessons on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday afternoons at 2pm and Saturday mornings at 10am. From 1st January to 19th May, we will also host a Sunday afternoon lesson at 2pm.
+ Where do I go for my Gin School Lesson?
Your Gin School lesson will start in our Distillery Bar at The Boathouse (28 Island Street, Salcombe, TQ8 8DP) before heading next door to the Gin School (30 Island Street) above the Salcombe Gin Victuallers shop.
+ Where can I park?
The nearest car parks are just a few minutes walk away from our Gin School. There is a long stay car park on Gould Road, Creek Car Park and a short stay car park (max 3 hrs) on Shadycombe Road, Shadycombe Car Park. During peak seasonal periods, there is also a park and ride facility from Main Road (A381). Please note that there is no car parking facility at the Distillery, Bar, Gin School or Victuallers.
+ Where is the nearest train station?
The nearest train station is in Totnes, which is approximately 20 miles / 35 minute drive away.
+ How many places are there at a Gin School lesson?
There are ten mini copper pot stills at our Gin School and we can accommodate a maximum of 16 guests.
+ How long is a Gin School Lesson?
A Gin School lesson is 3 hours long, but we recommend you allow additional time to park before the lesson and to enjoy a ‘Salcombe & Tonic’ or your ‘newly created gin’ at the end of the lesson in our Distillery Bar.
+ Do you have disabled access at the Gin School?
Those requiring disabled access should contact us prior to making a booking as unfortunately there is no lift facility at our Gin School, however alternative arrangements can be made.
+ Where can I stay nearby?
Salcombe offers many accommodation options including B&B's, pubs with rooms, hotels and apartments/cottages/houses to rent. For more information visit Salcombe accommodation.
+ Where is a good place to eat before/after my Gin School lesson?
There are a number of great pubs, restaurants and café's all within easy walking distance of the Distillery.
+ Where can I find out more about what there is to see and do nearby?
There is lots to do in Salcombe and the surrounding area. We would recommend having a look at the Salcombe Tourist Information Centre website, where you can also download a copy of the Salcombe guide.
+ Can I reschedule my booking for a Gin School lesson?
If you need to reschedule your Gin School lesson, we require a minimum of 14 days notice prior to your booked date. We will do our best to accommodate your request but cannot guarantee availability on your chosen date. If you wish to reschedule within 14 days of your booking, a £15 rescheduling fee will apply. We are unable to reschedule your booking more than once. Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01548 288 180 to make changes to your booking.
+ Can I cancel my booking?
We require a minimum of 14 days notice for all cancellations and all bookings made by gift voucher are non-refundable. If you wish to cancel your booking within 14 days, a £15 cancellation fee will apply. Please note, any cancellations made 72 hours prior to your booking will be charged in full. + Is it possible to arrange a private group lesson at Gin School?
